I know what he’ll say…
Posted on May 19th, 2011 10 comments…if he comments on this post: “But I parked way out in the boonies so it’s okay!” Blah blah blah. If you park out in the boonies to keep from getting dented, why do you still take up two spaces?

I’ve always wondered that too. If you parked way, far away from everyone… who’s dinging your door that you need to take two spots to avoid?

*Note, nothing to do with this picture*
I have a question as I ws faced with it lst night in a dark parking lot. I pulled into a store parking lot at 11PM yesterday and there are no lights and nobody was there, but the lines are almost not even there anymore. I parked and realized I was a little off and slightly in the next space. The lines are so bad, you cannot even see them much on foot. What should be done, or did I make a good call?

In order to answer your question, we will need to set up some sort of consulting contract. As an expert (maybe the only expert) in this particular field, my fee is $175 an hour. Let me know if this works for you.

You say you have this site to make people more aware about their bad parking habits, but you refuse to give a real answer to a parking related question.. I am not sure I understand the real point of this website, other than you mocking these imbeciles. No B.S., can you give me a real answer, yes or no?

Site tagline: “Publicly Shaming Douche Bags in Parking Lots Since 2009″
From sidebar: “Point and laugh.”
From FAQ page: “We’ll post [the picture] where the world can see what douche bags these people are. As an added bonus, the jackass card refers the driver to this site, so they can feel ashamed or, even better, send us hatemail and/or physical threats … because we’d really like to piss these people off. Really.”
I think the purpose of the site is pretty clear. Absolutely nowhere have I stated that I “have this site to make people more aware about their bad parking habits.” This is not a public service. I’m not a nice guy. I’m a jerk. I’m a bitter old fart with a hobby. Who else besides an intolerable crank would make a site like this?
Sorry, I don’t know whether or not what you did was a good call, nor do I care. Take a picture next time.

Look. I’m just gonna say this. When i hear people complain about how they HAVE TO TAKE UP TWO SPACES … because they have a BIG TRUCK that just doesn’t FIT in ONE SPACE … i ask myself, then why the fuck did they get such a big truck? In all honesty — few people ACTUALLY need such a large, innefficient vehicle. They’re just trying to satisfy some bizarre redneck, macho urge inside of them.
I feel for the people who have these trucks for legitimate purposes (contractors, people hauling trailors, etc.) but you can usually tell when a truck is being used for said purpose (tools in the back, trailer attached, construction related dust and grime, etc.) They get a free pass on some of the more reasonable bad parking. But when you see PRISTINE trucks that are obviously just used for getting from point (A) to point (B) (and maybe just in case they have to move a new sofa once every 7 years — or help a friend move so they can bitch about it and act superior the whole time — all while not efficiently moving at all due to the king cab taking up half the space where the bed should be) parking like this, or complaining about the price of gas — i just can’t help myself – “WHY THE HELL DID YOU BUY THAT STUPID PIECE OF IMPRACTICAL CRAP?!” “i have a big truck” is no damned excuse for using it like an idiot…. unless you have it for a practical purpose — and those folks usually try to minimize their douchebaggery. The walmart guy in the no parking zone by the shopping carts… he’s fine by me – he’s working AT the walmart, probably has permission to park there. good for him. He should have just figured it was a misunderstanding when he got posted here and left it be…. of course, people with trucks have this weird macho ideal where their male pride is so easily wounded. Kind of makes you wonder just how secure they are in their masculinity that i can be so easily injured. -
At least in this picture – you can CLEARLY see there is plenty of room in the parking spot for his ‘huge’ truck to fit it in to….

so to the JP person, why did you just rant so much about having a truck? There are multiple reasons why people get trucks and just because they aren’t “contractors” or constantly hauling trailors, doesn’t mean they cant have a truck. I’m assuming you drive this tiny ass little car and you choose to drive that, and there are some people out there that choose to drive trucks. A lot of people drive bigger vehicles to feel safter as well. There are seriously way more reasons as to why people get trucks. Your rant was a complete waste of time to read.

I love JP’s comment so much. I want to marry it and have baby comments with it. Amanda, if it was a waste of time to read then I am sorry you sat there and read it and then took time to comment on it. Whatever makes you feel… safter.
